Alumni Indigo Dye Studio

$25.00

Instructor Lauren Becker Downey

The dye bath will be good for a few days following our Indigo Dyeing & Shibori workshop. If you have attended our Indigo Dyeing class or have Indigo Dyeing experience, please join us for up to 3 hours within the schedule hours to continue the magical fun. Select a morning or afternoon time-slot. You are not locked into the exact time you select, but it helps to prevent having too many people in the studio at the same time.

There will be not be any official instruction during this open studio time.

$25 + bring your own fabric and/or clothing to bundle and dye

Prerequisite: Previous Indigo Dyeing experience

Monday, May 13, 3 hours between 10am - 5pm OR

Sunday, June 9, 3 hours between 10am - 5pm OR

Friday, July 19, 3 hours between 10am - 5pm OR

Saturday, August 10, 3 hours between 10am - 5pm

Students must wear a mask. As long as Covid is present in our community and breakthrough infection for the vaccinated is a reality, and while strangers gather in our studio for more than a few minutes, masks will be a requirement. Bravo’s studio classroom is like my home and I want us all to be healthy. ~ Lauren Becker Downey

Class enrollment is typically limited to 4 - 6 people in each class. If you and your friends want to attend and sit together in a class, but there is only one spot left, please email or call us to adjust the count so you both can register. :)

You may bring up to 6 pieces of fabric, clothing or other textiles to dye. T-shirts, simple dress, napkins, tote bags, dish towels, scarf, pillow cases, hankies, napkins, hand towels, bandanas or pieces of fabric 1 yard or smaller.

PLEASE refrain from bringing denim, fleece, yardage cuts over 1 yard, or other heavy fabric items like sweaters or hoodies. These items require a significant amount of extra dye and they take up too much space in our shared dye pot.

Wear clothing that may get blue. Blue jeans is always a good choice, so if you splatter dye on it, it won’t matter… much. Or bring an apron or oversized shirt to protect your clothing.

Class will be held partially outdoors, so please be prepared with a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.
